Our Mission

The time has come for cities like South Bend, Mishawaka, and the University of Notre Dame to work together to plan and construct a modern streetcar to connect, revitalize, and grow our many neighborhoods and assets.

Our Vision

The RiverRail Modern Streetcar will be the single greatest driver of investment in South Bend and Mishawaka over the next generation.

 

As such it will bring jobs, the full spectrum of housing opportunities, and continued cultural enrichment.

Jan Cervelli

Jan Cervelli, FASLA, FCELA, is a nationally recognized urban designer, planner, landscape designer, educator, and native South Bender. Cervelli has advised cities and states across the nation on issues of urban design and planning including Boston, Cincinnati, Tucson AZ, Greenville SC, Lexington KY, and Charleston SC. She is currently principal of Serra Terra, LLC, an urban design and landscape architecture firm and Professor of Environmental Studies and Art at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN.

Doug Hunt

Doug Hunt was born in South Bend, raised in River Park, and was a John Adams High School graduate. Doug is a lifelong resident of South Bend, a Notre Dame graduate, and a U.S. Army veteran. He was elected five times as the Indiana State Senator representing South Bend and Mishawaka. Doug is currently a Senior Partner at Holladay Properties, a national real estate development firm headquarted in South Bend.

Chuck Lehman

Chuck Lehman, ASLA, PLA, FRSA, is President/CEO of Lehman & Lehman, Inc., a regionally recognized design firm of landscape architects, planners and placemakers in Mishawaka. Chuck is a current board member of the South Bend Elkhart Regional Partnership and is Chair of the Board’s Talent Attraction and Retention Committee. Chuck assists clients and communities in seeking and defining their desired future. We refer to this process as transforming horizons!

Patti Crowley

Patti Crowley has been a resident of South Bend over 45 years and graduated from University of Texas with a concentration in Real Estate and Urban Land Development. She further earned designations in both office and industrial real estate from Society of Office & Industrial Realtors (SIOR) and in CCIM. She retired from commercial real estate sales and leasing in St Joseph County. 

 

In the past 20 years, she has participated in partnerships with a focus on light industrial projects. She has helped with non-profit organizations and more recently she is having fun playing with grandchildren.

Patti is enthusiastic about connecting people and friendships and creating more vibrant businesses and entertainment with the swift and safe movement of RiverRail our sleek modern streetcar for today.

Tom Panzica

Tom Panzica, ASID, LEED AP is South Bend born and raised, graduating from John Adams High School and Notre Dame. He is a licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker and President of Panzica Building Corporation, an architecture / construction / development firm based in South Bend since 1955. The firm recently built and co-developed a 7-story riverfront condominium project in downtown’s East Bank Village neighborhood. Tom is also a current member of the St. Joseph County Parks Board.
